Who I Work With

I work with career coaches, business coaches, life coaches, fitness trainers, financial coaches and social coaches. These coaches typically run their own home-based practice and serve individuals or small groups. They often belong to coaching organizations and local networking groups, offer seminars from time to time, speak at local and national events and spend time writing on their area of expertise. See if any of these sound familiar to you:

You’ve been coaching for years, relying on word of mouth for new business. Now you see other coaches using the web to get new business and you have no idea how to get started doing the same. How can you build an online presence?

You read about Web 2.0, social media and online communities. You’re familiar with MySpace and Facebook but don’t see how that type of thing can help you. Are you missing something that could benefit your business?

You spend a lot of time courting potential clients that turn out to be a poor fit. Isn’t there a way to qualify them over the web?

You have a lot of information you wish you could get into the hands of other people but you don’t want to publish a book yet. How can you get this information to others quickly and build your practice at the same time?

You have published a book and want to create a companion web site. What kind of strategy should you use to support the launch of the book and get people interested in buying it? How do you promote the companion site?

You know you need a website but you don’t have the time to learn all the nuts and bolts of the technology necessary. What is the easiest way to get online?

You want to build a list of emails you can market your products to. How can you get people to give you their email addresses?

Your site is not showing up in any of the search engines. How can you get listed and get traffic coming to your site?

People are always asking you for your web address at networking and speaking events. But you don’t have a web site. How can you create a simple, high quality site so you don’t appear out of step with the times?

We are likely to be successful working together if:

  • You are willing to set goals up front. Setting goals provides a focus for our combined efforts and gives us something to measure success against.
  • You are flexible in your approach. If a strategy is not getting results after a reasonable amount of time, you are willing to drop it and try something else.
  • You are willing to do what it takes up front. Sometimes there is a lot of up-front effort that needs to be done and not a lot of visible initial results to justify it. Some strategies take time. Some strategies are to lay a foundation for efforts to come.
  • You take a sincere interest in the results you help your clients achieve. I take a sincere interest in helping you meet your goals. I only work with those that have the same attitude.
  • You adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. If you want to succeed by taking ethical shortcuts, I’m not for you.
